Hello from Whistler,
I had the privilege of a holiday to the Philippines and the Island of Boracay for New Years, and a few days in HK to top it off.  Boracay is deemed to be one of the top ten Islands for tourists, and I can attest to the beauty of it that is for sure.  It was a wonderful holiday but it is nice to be home in Paradise.

Generally, our market is quiet over the Christmas holidays and into the second week of January, but this year it kept our realtors fairly busy.  Seeing 15 sales in the last week is not that quiet.  Overall the fourth quarter of 2017 had the lowest activity since early 2014.  This is due to the low number of properties listed and the increase in values.  Currently, there are approx. 150 listings in Whistler, 1/3rd of them are Chalets.  The inventory has never been this low, our average number of listings used to be between 500-600.  So, the long story short is, if you see a property you like, call us and buy it!  We don’t have much to choose from.   Or, if you are a seller, there has never been a better time to sell, call us for a market evaluation, you will likely be pleasantly surprised.  Many will have received or will be receiving your tax assessments.
