Hello from Whistler!
This weekend is the last in the series of Whistler hosting the Ironman Canada triathlon, known as one of the toughest in the world! Next year, the event heads back to Penticton, BC. More than 2,000 athletes will take on Whistler’s beautiful lakes, mountain roads and Valley Trail network in a test of mental and physical strength. From the thrilling early morning start in Alta Lake to the triumphant finish adjacent to Whistler Olympic Plaza in the Village, this is an awe-inspiring day for spectators and participants alike. There is also a kids event happening on Saturday for anyone who is interested. Good luck to everyone competing, very impressive!!!
Olympic Plaza and Whistler Village is in full summer fun swing, with ongoing activities and concerts throughout the Village and at select restaurants. Here is a handy schedule showing many different activities and venues to choose from.
