Greetings from Whistler and Pemberton,

Granted the long weekend was not that bad, but you really had to judge it to get the sunshine and the heat. Don’t count on the weather reports for a minute! I was lucky enough to have a fabulous outdoor sporty weekend including Golf, E-bike riding, Pickleball and patio time at the Tennis Club and Nicklaus North Golf Club. A  fantastic weekend in Paradise!

The real estate market was quiet, we had several calls and a few viewings but it was not red hot! It’s never red hot on the May long weekend, it’s the first long weekend of the year when people feel freedom, warmth and celebration of  Spring. Of course, we have all been penned up for the last couple of years, so no wonder people are a little excited!  Whistler and Pemberton are unique, we are not like the other guys in the city, we beat to our own drum. However, having said that, we are slowing down a little bit because people are sitting back looking at all the new listings and finally being able to have more to choose from. Don’t worry, this market is thriving and if you see something you like, go for it because there are not many properties like that. It was touch and go for a little while there with the cold temperatures and extra May snow, but the Bike Park is open now and it’s looking great! Will we see you up there this summer?
