Greetings from Whistler and Pemberton,

There are not enough words to describe what a difficult time British Columbia is having with the recent flooding, road closures, mudslides, loss of lives and animals as well as loss of homes and highways.  Our hearts go out to all of those who have been affected by the floods, and the families of those who were victims of the highway landslides.

Whistler Blackcomb is set to open on Nov. 25th at 8:30 am.  We are excited for another great ski and board season and hopefully, we will be open until the end of the season for 2022!  Check out The Whistler Insider to find out more about what’s happening in Whistler for this upcoming season.

Emergency Relief Access

For many years we have participated in the annual REALTORS Care® Blanket Drive where we have collected donations of warm clothing, blankets and funds to be donated to underprivileged people throughout B.C. via shelters, transition homes, community services societies and women’s centres. This year, the financial contributions to the campaign are being redirected to the Canadian Red Cross British Columbia Floods and Extreme Weather Appeal. This money will support the Red Cross’s relief, recovery, resiliency and risk reduction activities in the affected areas at both the individual and community levels.

If you feel compelled to help with disaster relief, donations can be made at one of the two links below:

Community Update:

Bratz Biz showcases the talent of young artists at it’s annual market in Whistler, BC. “We fuel the entrepreneurial spirit and artistic passions of young artisans by providing a venue for selling crafts and a meeting place for like minded individuals to share new ideas and learn the business side of marketing arts & crafts. By providing space and support, Bratz Biz empowers young artisans to take individual art projects from development to sale and shows them how to turn a passion for the arts into a viable part-time income; transforming their talents into a business.”

We have have checked out this market many times, and have always been thoroughly impressed by the skill and talent of the children in our community! We’re thrilled to be able to attend in person again this year after last year’s break. See you there!
