Greetings from Whistler and Pemberton,

After such a beautiful fall, we are now seeing the real weather conditions as we transition into Winter.  It’s snowing on the mountains and the meteorologists are predicting the third La Nina winter season in a row.  Read more on this winter weather pattern La Nina, it’s going to be a cold snowy winter!   As we said in last weeks Market Update, “it’s time to get the body and boards in shape!”  If you need help check out Hailey Elise from the Tourism Whistler’s Insider Blog where you will find specific Ski exercises to prepare you for the slopes, only 32 days left until the mountains open.

As you can see from this market update, there has been 15 sales in Whistler and we know there are several others in the process.  This is good news as true to history, we see more activity in the fall.  The sales are generally coming from local people with a sprinkling of off shore buyers looking.  We are finding this can be a good time for people who want to make a move within the resort to downsize, as there are buyer’s looking and some sellers are more negotiable as you can see there are 16 price adjustments in Whistler.  Let us know if we can assist you in any way, the real estate market is complex and we would love to help you.
