Greetings from Whistler,

 The RBC GranFondo Whistler ride from Vancouver to Whistler was another wet one this year.  Hopefully, everyone had a nice hot tub to sink into after the grueling ride. Hopefully, everyone is getting settled back into school and routines and before we know it, the annual Turkey Sale will be happening!

The Real Estate transaction activity for this year is down 26% from 640 in 2017  to 471 in 2018 for year to date in Whistler and approximately 21% in Pemberton.  The hardest hit segment is the single-family homes and the shared ownership showing the most decline in the number of transactions. Despite the drop in sales activity, the average transaction values are still holding up with a 6% increase in Whistler and 17% increase in Pemberton, most of this occurred in the first quarter of the year.  Our inventory remains about 200 listings in Whistler, not including shared ownership and 90 listings in Pemberton.  If you are thinking of buying or selling,  Fall is a great time to make a move before the snow flies ..
