Your weekly Whistler & Pemberton market update

Thanksgiving weekend was mother nature’s surprise with lots of sunshine mixed with rain, and snow on the mountains. The last day for the bike park proved very busy, – by 12:30 pm they had signs up saying “ sorry park is full”. This was the first time in 27 years that we didn’t go to The Turkey sale, now called the “Kick Off” sale. It felt like something was missing from our local Thanksgiving weekend.

The sales are the highest they have been in several years and the luxury market continues to grow with 3 more homes sold over $5 ml. this past week. Surprisingly there are 28 new listings and 28 sales in Whistler in the past week. 8 sales and only 3 new listings in Pemberton is becoming a seller’s market with multiple offers on many of the properties. There is confidence in this market, people are making decisions that they have been thinking about for a couple of years.
