Greetings from Whistler,
With all that rain in the village, comes snow in the mountains.  I have to say spring skiing is really great on a nice sunny day so I’m going up to make a few turns this afternoon.  After a 15 year hiatus, The Saudan Coulouir Extreme Race was Sponsored by Kokanee and part of the World Ski and Snowboard Festival.  It was a huge success and a nice addition to the Festival.
The market usually opens up in the Spring and as predicted, we are right on track. Over the last two weeks, I have mentioned that we are seeing a cooling off period.  This means we are not seeing the multiple offers that we were 3-4 weeks ago and we are seeing more listing prices being reduced.  This is a sign of the market changing.  Many people ask us “Is this the peak of the market?”   When is it going to stop going up?  We can’t say for sure but it is definitely a quieter market.  If you are thinking of selling, you should call us to discuss when would be the best time for you to list.  Buyers are happier right now because they can take their time to find the right property and not be in a rush to be the top bidder with their offer.  Call us to chat about how we can put our 25 years of business to work for you.

The same effect is happening in Pemberton with the listings not setting offer dates and receiving multiple offers. There are still Buyers and sellers so we expect we are just approaching a more balanced market. There is a mix of new listings and price reductions for vacant land to single-family homes.
